How Your PTA Works

The Glenealy PTA is a group of parents of current students at the school that can become more involved in the school community. The PTA committee is comprised of Chair, Co-Chair, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, up to eight Parent Representatives, the Principal and three members of Glenealy teaching staff. In addition to this, there are Class Parents that represent each class and organize opportunities, whether it is for coffee or cocktails, for parents and caregivers of all students in the class to meet up casually, relax and chat. All of the Committee roles are voted by you, the population of parents of the school, at the AGM. In addition to these specific roles there are numerous opportunities to get involved in the many PTA activities, and we really value and appreciate any offer of help whether large or small.

2011-2012 Committee                                                       

Chairperson: Scarlett Mattoli Scarlett has three of three children attending Glenealy School and has helped the PTA committee in the capacities of Honorary Secretary, Company Secretary and Class Parent.

Co-chairperson: Ja Gerjurusak Ja has one of two children attending Glenealy School and has helped the PTA committee in the capacities of Parent Representative.

Honorary Treasurer: Penny Donowho Penny has two of four children attending Glenealy School and has helped the PTA committee in the capacities of Honorary Treasurer, Parent Representative.

Honorary Secretary: Rebecca Asian-Gomez Rebecca has one of two children attending Glenealy School and this is her first year on the PTA committee.

Parent Representative: Jaymini (Jem) Nandha Jem has two of three children attending Glenealy School and has helped the PTA committee  in the capacities of Parent Representative and Class Parent.

Parent Representative: Priya Mistry Priya has two of two children currently attending Glenealy School and has helped the PTA committee in the capacity of Parent Representative.

Parent Representative: Natasha Headley Natasha has two of three children attending Glenealy School and has helped on the PTA committee in the capacity of Parent Representative.

Parent Representative: Pavithra Thatheyuraj Pavithra has one child attending Glenealy School and this is her first year on the PTA committee.

Parent Representative: Agnes Wong Agnes has one child attending Glenealy School and this is her first year on the PTA committee.

Parent Representative: Tarja Joro Na Tarja has one of two children attending Glenealy School and this is her first year on the PTA committee.

Parent Representative: Sharon Chau Sharon has one child attending Glenealy School and this is her first year on the PTA committee.
