How Your PTA Funds Help
The Glenealy PTA are very proud to have raised funds both through subscriptions and year-round events to support both regular activities, such as Sports Day, transportation, as well as specially requested projects, such as the recent development of the magnificent Library/Learning Centre and the school’s wireless network, micro-gardens, digital cameras and educational games. We always “strive to achieve” more for you, your children, and the school.

As much as we love to do all of this we cannot do it by ourselves. The PTA runs on behalf of you all and your help is crucial to our collective success. All commitments are welcome...nothing is too little! Join and help us to keep our community truly a great one.
Involvement in the PTA can range from a simple one-off commitment such as helping at one of our popcorn day stalls for a few hours to joining the committee for a school year to provide integral help in the planning and raising of funds to support our children at Glenealy through facilities, services and equipment for the school.
If you would like to support the PTA by helping out in any way, please visit our Volunteer Page for more information. You can notify us of your good intentions in person, by email on pta@gs.esf.edu.hk or by simply printing out the Volunteer form and dropping it into the PTA tray in the school office on the first Floor.
Regular events on the PTA calendar include:
POPCORN DAYS
The children can purchase popcorn and drinks after school at the playground level popcorn stall. These are run regularly throughout the year and can be organized by a class or special group from within the school community, like the Environmental group or a Glenealy sports team.

MARKET NIGHT
This is a special market, run in the autumn on Glenealy School grounds where local vendors are invited to offer a range of products food and drinks. On this night the families of Glenealy and the local community come together to catch up and enjoy an evening in the fresh autumn air.

TOY IN A BOX
This is a beautiful way for all of our students to show they care by preparing a small box filled with gifts for another child and then decorating it and bringing it to school to place under the Christmas tree. We do this in December as a special gift to the students of the CPC Yao Dao Primary School in Tin Shui Wai, in the New Territories, who would be unlikely to receive a gift otherwise during this season of giving.

BINGO NIGHT
This is a favorite family evening for winning prizes, usually held once in the first term. Your ticket, purchased in advance, will get you in the door with a game card, pizza and a juice. Extra pizza and drinks are available for sale throughout the event in case you need the extra energy!

DISCO
This is a student only event, held either in the second or third term depending on curriculum commitments and begins as soon as school lets out, with two sessions, one for the younger years (Years 1-3) and one for the upper years (Years 4-6). Tickets are available for advance purchase and include a refreshment package.

SPRING FAIR
Our fantastic Spring Food & Fun Fair is held either in the second or third term depending on curriculum commitments. This is an international food and drink extravaganza from all corners of the world provided by the parents of the Glenealy community, together with fun game stalls run by each class. We also have a second hand DVD/CD/book and donated items stall, as well as our second hand uniform stall. The evening is full of great bargains, fantastic food and fun games for all ages; a huge night of fun for all the community.
