INQUIRY and LANGUAGE FOCUS

  • Play a variety of games. Focus on attitudes: tolerance, empathy, co-operatio

  • Focus on music smart and body smart - children perform a song, dance or routine to the class

  • Children inquire into the ways stories start. They then create their own story (word smart).


Writing focus :  recount (focus on fullstops and capital letters). Discuss quality and quantity.

Children will select their own spellings  to learn.

All words will go home in their spelling books this week

MATHEMATICS

Mental Mathematics revision: 

Main Objectives

Exploring number pattterns.

Division - understanding that dividing by 2 is the same as halving

Multiplication (2x, 5x, 10x, and 3x)


Art

Making puppets, paper mache and sewing



ICT/Library

Children type their story starters.
