THE GLENEALY GREEN TEAM

The Glenealy School "Green Team" represents students in the school from Y2 - Y6. Representatives are chosen by their peers. The group meets fornightly with Ms. Tintoska to discuss enviromental issues and ideas for new initiatives in our school.

So far this school year the team has worked enthusiatically to plant and care for micro-gardens growing organic vegetables on our school roof top.

The team also regularly check classrooms at lunch time for their LOAL initiative (lights out at lunch time). Our aim is to reduce our electricity bill each year.

The team has also been monitoring the number of notices sent home and we are happy to announce the number has dropped significantly due to families accessing the school website for newsletters, notices and class news. Keep up the good work Glenealy.

The green team would like to thank the PTA for providing the funds to purchase the microgradens.

If you have any issues or ideas that you think would be useful please pass on the information to your class representative. We hope that our Year 1's will be able to join us later in the year.

The Green Team would like to extend their thanks to the members of Glenealy School for their support in making an enviromentally friendly school.

Don't forget "Be Seen Being Green"
