Overseas Enquiries Q Can I apply without a Hong Kong address? Yes but the application can not be activated until proof of Hong Kong address and visa status is confirmed but the child’s name can be placed on the appropriate waiting list dated when received. If you eventually live out of this schools zone the application will be passed to the relevant school dated when first received. Q Can I submit applications to all of the ESF schools? No, only one school. If you don’t have an address in Hong Kong then submit to the one in the area you expect to be living, if you eventually live out of this schools zone the application will be passed to the relevant school dated when first received. Q At what age can my child join an ESF primary school? Children can join year one in the year they turn 5 years of age. Q What happens if there are no places available and we have an address in your zone? As your home school we would check place availability at other ESF schools, if a place was found it would be your decision as to whether you accepted the offer of interview at that school. Local Enquiries Q Can I apply to any ESF school? No, only the school in whose zone you are living. Q Can I apply at any time? Yes unless the application is to join a new year one commencing at the beginning of the academic year. Q What if my child is attending another ESF school and we move to the Glenealy School zone?
