FEES

2009/20010 Year = HK$58,100

Fees are payable in ten monthly instalments over the course of the academic year. New students are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit as an advance payment towards the first term’s fees when they have been offered a place. The deposit is HK$10,000 for primary and HK$16,000 for a secondary school place. This payment is also required when students transfer from an ESF primary school to an ESF secondary school.

You will be sent an account statement in August, December and March. Monthly statements will also be sent showing the payments you have made. Fees are due on the first day of each month.

We recommend you make monthly payments by direct debit through a local bank. Direct debit authorisation forms are available from ESF Centre or your child’s school. We suggest that you set the “Limit for Each Month” at HK$7,000 for primary and HK$10,000 for secondary. Alternatively, you can pay by crossed cheque, accompanied by the remittance advice slip at the bottom of each statement. Please send these to ESF, GPO. Box 11284, Hong Kong. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Receipts are not normally issued; payments are reflected on the following monthly statement.

Last year, ESF introduced PPS, a payment by phone or internet process, as an option for your convenience. Our PPS merchant code is 9582. You can find more detailed information at http://www.ppshk.com

If fee payments are overdue, your child may be excluded from school. Once excluded, students will not be re-admitted until all arrears are cleared and at least one further month’s fees are paid in advance. There will be no guarantee that an excluded student will be returned to his or her former school or class.

There is a Financial Assistance Scheme available for families who experience hardship due to a sudden and unexpected change in circumstances. Application forms for the scheme are available from ESF Centre. You will need to supply details of personal income to support any claim.

Fees remain payable if a student goes on leave during term time. Parents of Year 11-13 students should note that the annual fees for these students are the same as for all other secondary students

Please inform your school or ESF Centre of any change of postal address, email address or telephone number. If a student leaves or is admitted part way through the school year, it should be noted that attendance on any day in a particular month renders school fees payable for the entire month. You should give one month’s notice before permanently withdrawing your child from school.

If you have any queries about fees or deposits please call 2919-7911, 2919-7950, 2919-7951 or 2919-7952, or email billing@esfcentre.edu.hk, quoting your child’s student account number, which is shown on all statements
